Surface Safe Declarer (SP-221124) is a QCTO Skills Programme designed to equip learners with the knowledge and practical skills required to examine, make safe and declare safe surface mining workplaces in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act, mine standards and workplace procedures. The programme prepares learners to perform the duties of a competent Surface Safe Declarer and provides progression towards supervisory roles and Blasting Assistant programmes.
